Andrei Vereshchagin was born in Zagorsk in 1969. Perhaps it was a sign from above that the maternity hospital was at a monastery... Was it providence? Whatever the case may be, since childhood he has been unable to live without drawing. Andrei graduated from the Venetsianova School of Arts in Tver and then studied at the Kiev Academy of Arts. He lives and works in Moscow, where he is a permanent exhibitor at the Central House of Artists, Art-Manezh (Moscow), Art-New York (United States). In 2004 Andrei Vereshchagin had a personal show at the Academy of Arts in Washington. His works can be found in private collections in Russia and elsewhere around the world.
Rarely for painters, Vereshchagin produces lithographs of his works, printed by hand on a manual lithograph.
